Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I need to allow for an appointment?

Please allow up to 60 minutes for your initial appointment and 30 minutes for all subsequent consultations.

How much of my appointment time will be spent with the physiotherapist?

All of it. Your entire session will be spent 1 to 1 with Jonathan, he won’t leave you lying there strapped to a hotpack with a few needles in your back as he attempts to juggle two other clients.

Do I need a referral first?

No, you don't need a referral to see one of our physiotherapists as we are considered first contact providers. However, if you do have a referral Jonathan will be happy to liaise with your referring health practitioner to keep them in the loop on your management plan.

Do you see workers compensation, DVA or CTP patients?

Yes, Jonathan is a SIRA approved physiotherapist and will liaise with your insurers to make the process as easy as possible.

Do you take private health insurance?

Yes we do, and if you bring your card with you we can claim directly on-site and save you the hassle of chasing up your insurer.

Do you take NDIS clients?

Yes, we take both children and adults on the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Patients should be on a self-managed or plan-managed fund. If you or your child do not have a self or plan-managed fund, please contact us to speak to a treating therapist and we can discuss options to accommodate you.

Is Physiotherapy right for me?

Maybe? Probably? Feel free to call or fill out a contact form and Jonathan can discuss with you if physiotherapy would be appropriate for you and your needs.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

Please bring with you:

  • Any relevant medical information that may help Jonathan in assessment and treatment of your condition. This may be in the form of X-rays, MRIs, medical reports etc

  • Comfortable clothing that you can move in

  • Your health fund and/or medicare card, however, if you forget any or all of these items we will still be more than happy to see you!

Where can I park?

There’s parking directly in front of the clinic on Gardeners Road from 10am to 3pm, outside of these times it would be best to park in a sidestreet like Sutherland St, Tramway St, or Dunning Ave.
